Abstract

In this work we present a synthesis of titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films. The TiO2 thin films was prepared by chemical bath deposition (CBD) method which is an excellent technique to deposit nanostructure films because it has been used to deposit films of many different semiconductors and probably the simplest method that available. Nanostructure TiO2 thin films was deposited on the FTO coated glass at the room temperature. The substrates were immersed for 2 hours and 24 hours to get the different of thickness. The structural and morphological of the thin films were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and UV–VIS absorption spectroscopy. The structural study revealed that TiO2 films are still in nanocrystalline even after annealing at 450 ° C. The morphology of TiO2 shows fine grains from the analysis of SEM. The thickness of the film was estimated to be 400-500 nm.
