Abstract

ZnO/TiO2 codoped N was synthesized by modified sol gel method with N molar ratio of 0.75% in order to study catalyst performance. The photocatalytic degradation of phenol was performed in lab scale reactor under 24 W visible light irradiation. The effect of pH and catalyst loading were studied. The degradation efficiency of phenol reached maximum of 56% and 70% within three hours light exposure at pH 5 and 3g/l catalyst load respectively. At optimum condition, the influence of catalyst load was posibbly contributed by an availability of active site that promote higher adsoprtion on catalyst surface.
