About the Journal

Journal of Solid State Science and Technology Letters publishes both fundamental and applied research covering areas such as:

  • Physics and chemistry of solids
  • Solid-state materials and devices
  • Technological applications related to solid-state science

The journal is published twice a year in June and December. It provides a forum of communication for solid state scientists, material scientists, technologists and engineers and promotes the advancement and dissemination of knowledge related to the science and technology of solid state.

In addition to conventional solid-state materials, Journal of Solid State Science and Technology Letters also welcomes high-quality research on the exploration and application of local and indigenous materials for advanced technological applications. Such efforts contribute to the diversification of electronic and functional material sources, foster sustainable and cost-effective material development, and promote innovation rooted in regional resources with global technological relevance.

Research works that support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations are very welcome by the Journal of Solid State Science and Technology Letters especially pertaining to SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure and SDG 13: Climate Action.

Articles should normally not exceed 3,000 words, excluding references. Manuscripts must be concise and focused, presenting original contributions to the field.

Each article should include:

  • Introduction – outlining the research problem, objectives, and significance.
  • Methods – described clearly and in sufficient detail to allow replication.
  • Results  and Discussion – highlighting the most important findings, supported by figures and tables where appropriate.
  • Conclusions

Authors are encouraged to include a discussion that relates their findings to existing literature, emphasizing novelty and relevance. Writing should maintain clarity, precision, and logical flow, ensuring accessibility for an international readership.

Manuscripts submitted are reviewed by at least two independent referees outside the editorial office using the single-blind process.
